Happy Anniversary

Two years of nothing but fun...well there were some organizational details and various consternations but nothing that forty good hearted adults couldn't figure out. During this past year they developed four song books containing a hundred songs, sang songs to at least a thousand seniors, found a great place to practice and eat potlucks, held two playdays with the Columbia Blue Shoes Orchestra in Columbia, created a web site, a blog site and wherever they went quite a sight.

Most of these good looking people have learned to play the ukulele within the past two years.

The Funstrummers will be celebrating their success on November 13 at an anniversary pot luck dinner and performance.

The only requirement to join this group is good intentions.

It takes a Funstrummer Village Welcome to the Funstrummers Ukulele Blog Spot. Information is available here on Funstrummer activities, attitudes and actions. Some Funstrummers like to share their singing with shut in seniors at residential centers, mobile home parks, community service organizations, organizations supporting seniors and elementary schools. This is a do-it-yourself group of diverse people who might possibly disagree on everything except the fun and exhilarating experience of playing and singing music together. Less talking, more singing.
